Home from Holland

I had a wonderful experience as an exchange student at Hogeschool Utrecht.  Home briefly and then Brandon and I are off to Ireland.

I just can't stand it!

I am so excited;  Lisanne is here for two weeks and met with Chad and me and we bought our tickets to Holland, to Holland, I am so excited.  The Holland 8 (sounds like an underground operation of some sort or another) also met with Lisanne for Dutch/NGE class.  Refocus on more pottery pictures soon...

Etsy workshop

So progress continues with Caitlin's help. Next week photos of pottery are going up on my etsy shop. Just working on the site has got me thinking of a quite a few designs - picture frames, trays, vases and shadowboxes.

Caitlin's crafted gifts

As soon as Caitlin shows me how-I will be posting my pottery photos and the much appreciated scarf, banner, owl and wall hanging she has made for me!

...and counting

Well I procrastinate, a lot: one reason I like taking courses and workshops is the deadlines. I am finishing my bachelors degree this quarter (just two classes) and then I am traveling, oh joy!, to Holland in eleven weeks as a foreign exchange student. I am using that 'deadline' to get back to creating pieces of porcelain pottery and post them online. To those ends Caitlin is guiding me in some tutorials for designing a website and Etsy shop (and she will be crafting and making available her work on Etsy, also.) And as we got the creative juices flowing we have decided to collaborate on a movie review blog!

much of heaven pottery

A few years ago I signed up for a pottery class with my daughter, Caitlin, at the invitation of friends, Terry and her daughter, Kathleen. Within a few months I made it my ambition to do a show I had always enjoyed and a year later I thoroughly enjoyed doing just that. Many classes later, including an apprenticeship to learn to make glazes, I built a studio at home. AHHHH, bliss....DOH! Then I got accepted into the bachelor's degree program winter quarter last year and all thing pottery have been on hold. Til NOW~getting ready to get the wheel spinning and firing up the kiln....
